Straight Checkn 'Em is the second studio album by American rap group Compton's Most Wanted, released July 16, 1991 on Orpheus Records. It peaked at number 23 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and at number 92 on the Billboard 200. Along with a single, a music video was produced for the song, "Straight Checkn 'Em". The song, "Growin' Up in the Hood", was originally heard in the film, Boyz n the Hood, and was also released as a single and a music video to promote the film's soundtrack.
