The episode is centered on the character of Mr. Eko (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), who in flashbacks is revealed to be a former warlord in Nigeria, and in the present day events goes with Charlie Pace (Dominic Monaghan) to the Nigerian airplane which had crashed on the island.
