The Tribal World of Verrier Elwin is the autobiography of Verrier Elwin first published by Oxford University Press. The book was published posthumously in May 1964, three months after the death of Elwin. Natwar Singh lists the book as one of his five favourite autobiographies and appreciates Elwin's perceptive writing. The autobiography also inspired Ramachandra Guha to switch fields from economics to sociology. The book won the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1965.
