This Time (William Mangion song)

"This Time" was the Maltese entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1993, performed in English by William Mangion. The song is a dramatic ballad, inspired somewhat by the soul music tradition. Mangion addresses himself to a lover whose infidelity he has recently discovered, telling her that their relationship is over and that "this time I'll be strong, I won't fall in love again". A Maltese language version was also recorded, titled "Issa". It was succeeded as Maltese representative at the 1994 Contest by Chris & Moira (both of whom provided backing vocals for Mangion) with "More Than Love".
