Tribe of Gad

According to the Hebrew Bible, the Tribe of Gad (Hebrew: גָּד, Modern Gad, Tiberian Gāḏ; "soldier" or "luck") was one of the Tribes of Israel who, after the Exodus from Egypt, settled on the eastern side of the Jordan River. From that time then, the Tribe of Gad has been counted as one of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel.
