UC Browser

UC Browser is a mobile browser developed by Chinese mobile Internet company UCWeb and is owned by AliBaba of China. Originally launched in April 2004 as a J2ME-only application, it is available on platforms including Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Symbian, Java ME, and BlackBerry. UCWeb has been criticised for routing all its traffic through China and for collecting a lot of user data, including user location, acts which are serious violations of privacy expectations as well as a security risk for users (per research done by Citizen Lab, a non-profit organization).
