The UP Diksiyonaryong Filipino (UPDF; English: UP Filipino Dictionary) is a monolingual Filipino dictionary. The dictionary is maintained by the University of the Philippines Center for Filipino Language (Sentro ng Wikang Filipino; UP-SWF), with Virgilio S. Almario, National Artist for Literature and a professor at the University of the Philippines Diliman, as editor-in-chief. In planning since 1996, the UPDF has been likened to a Filipino version of the Oxford English Dictionary. An online version has also been suggested for the benefit of overseas Filipinos.
