USS Julia Hamilton (SP-1460)

USS Julia Hamilton (SP-1460) was a United States Navy patrol vessel in service from 1917 to 1918. Julia Hamilton was built as a wooden civilian schooner of the same name. On 17 August 1917, the U.S. Navy acquired her from her owner, the Maryland Conservation Commission, for use as a section patrol boat during World War I. She entered service as USS Julia Hamilton (SP-1460). Assigned to the 5th Naval District and based at Norfolk, Virginia, Julia Hamilton served on patrol duties in the Chesapeake Bay during her naval career. The Navy returned her to the Conservation Commission on 28 March 1918.
