Ulvøysund

Ulvøysund is a village and an outport in Lillesand, Aust-Agder, Norway.West of the outport is Kvåsefjorden, which is the maritime boundary between the counties of Aust-Agder and Vest-Agder. Eastwards is the inland waterway of Blindleia towards Lillesand. The oldest sign of activity in Ulvøysund, is found by the oldest shipwreck in the approach of Kvåsefjorden. It was archaeologically investigated in 2011 by the Norwegian Maritime Museum, and a piece of a reindeer antler from the finding was later C-14 dated to the period 1020-1030.
