Yakutsk United Air Group Flight 101/435 was a Soviet domestic passenger flight that was hijacked on 19 December 1985 by the co-pilot en route from Takhtamygda to Chita. Co-pilot Shamil Alimuradov, who was a member of the Lezgian ethnic group and who was armed with a hatchet, demanded that captain Vyacheslav Abramyan divert the Antonov An-24 aircraft to China.
