1986 North Korean parliamentary election

Parliamentary elections were held in North Korea on 2 November 1986. 655 Deputies were elected to the parliament. The agenda of the first session of the elected eighth Supreme People's Assembly was "For the complete victory of socialism". Under the 1972 Constitution, the number of seats in the Assembly was 655. This was increased to 687 following the 1986 election.
