1990 French Open – Men's Singles

Fourth-seeded Andrés Gómez defeated Andre Agassi in the final 6–3, 2–6, 6–4, 6–4 to win the Men's Singles tennis title at the 1990 French Open. Gómez became the first Ecuadorian, male or female, to win a major tournament, and this was his only Grand Slam title in singles. In Agassi's opinion, as he states in his 2009 autobiography, his defeat in this final was partly due to issues with the wig he was wearing at the time.
