2005 UCI Road World Championships – Men's road race
La course en ligne masculine aux championnats du monde de cyclisme sur route 2005 a lieu le 25 septembre 2005 à Madrid, en Espagne. C'est le Belge Tom Boonen qui remporte le maillot arc-en-ciel, devant l'Espagnol Alejandro Valverde et le Français Anthony Geslin. Boonen est le premier Belge à monter sur la plus haute marche du podium des Championnat du monde de cyclisme sur route masculin depuis Johan Museeuw en 1996, et Geslin le premier Français sur un podium depuis Jean-Cyril Robin en 1999.
