2011 Wimbledon Championships – Women's Singles

Petra Kvitová defeated 2004 champion Maria Sharapova in the final, 6–3, 6–4 to win the Ladies' Singles title at the 2011 Wimbledon Championships. It was her first Grand Slam final and title of her career. She became the first player of either gender born in the 1990s to win a Grand Slam title, the first Czech woman to win the title here since Jana Novotná in 1998, as well as the first female left-handed player to win the title here since Martina Navratilova in 1990.
