2016 World Ringette Championships
The 2016 World Ringette Championships marked the 11th international competition of the sport of ringette and was hosted in Helsinki, Finland between 27 December 2015 – 3 January 2016. In addition to the international competition, a tournament, known as the "Ringette Festival", was held for U14 teams. Participating nations included: Canada, Finland, Sweden, United States of America, Czech Republic and Slovakia. This was the first time Slovakia and the Czech Republic appeared at the international tournament. The Canadian team won the gold medal in the under 21 category.
