307th Air Division
The 307th Air Division is an inactive United States Air Force organization. Its last assignment was with Twelfth Air Force at New Orleans Municipal Airport, Louisiana, where it was inactivated on 27 June 1949. The division was active briefly in Italy during World War II as the 307th Bombardment Wing but its personnel were used to man other units and it was disbanded a few months after its activation. The unit was reactivated in 1947 to command reserve heavy bomber units.
