A Rumor of Love
A Rumor of Love (aka The Love Rumor; Arabic: إشاعة حب – Eshaet Hob or Ishayat hub) is a 1960 Egyptian film by the director Fatin Abdel Wahab. The movie tells a story of a young man and the trouble he goes through to court the girl he is in love with. With the help of his uncle, the father of the girl, he manages to make her fall in love with him – but not after the entire town hears rumors about his womanizing ways. The film based on The Whole Town's Talking, a play by Anita Loos and John Emerson.
