Aaj Rang Hai
Aaj Rang Hai often called Rang or Rung (meaning colour in Persian, as well as in Hindi and many other North Indian languages), is a Qawwali composed by Amir Khusro in appreciation of Sufi saint Nizamuddin Auliya. It is a staple of most Qawwali sessions in North India and Pakistan, specially in the Chishti shrines of Delhi. Traditionally it is sung as a closing piece at the end of a Qawwali session. The 1978 Indian film Junoon opens with a rendition of Khusrau's , and the film's plot sees the poem employed as a symbol of rebellion.
