Adam Foote

Adam David Vernon Foote (born July 10, 1971) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman, and the former head coach of the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League. He was best known for his physical presence and gritty play as a stay-at-home defenceman. Internationally, Foote won a gold medal in 2002 Winter Olympics and a World Cup championship in 2004 with Team Canada. After his playing career, he began coaching with the Avalanche. He was named the head coach of the Kelowna Rockets in 2018. He was subsequently fired as head coach in February 2020.
