Ajab Khan Afridi

Ajab Khan Afridi (Pashto: عجب خان اپریدی‎) was a Pashtun freedom fighter belonging to the Afridi tribe from Darra Adam Khel. He is known for an act of vengeance on British Raj officers, following the abuse of his mother during a British raid on his house in 1923. Afridi's mother ordered him to take revenge on the British. On 8 January 1961, Ajab Khan Afridi died at the age of 95 in Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan. A statue of Ajab Khan Afridi was erected in 2018 at Abbas Chowk in his hometown, Darra Adam Khel.
