Alaska Democratic Party
The Alaska Democratic Party is the affiliate of the Democratic Party in Alaska, headquartered in Anchorage. It is one of the two major parties in Alaska, alongside the Republicans. The party holds no statewide offices. In the state legislature, Democrats hold 7 of the 20 seats in the state senate and 15 of the 40 seats in the state house. It controls the state house by forming a coalition with independents and some Republicans. As of 2020, there are over 75,000 registered members of the Alaska Democratic Party.
