Alfred Benzon (1855–1932)
Alfred Benzon (17 January 1855 – 21 May 1932) was a Danish pharmacist, businessman and politician. He was responsible for the considerable expansion of the family's pharmaceutical company Alfred Benzon A/S. He was also the proprietor of the Swan Pharmacy in Copenhagen. He chaired the Pharmaceutical Society of Denmark from 1894 until 1926. He was a member of Copenhagen City Council from 1896 to 1908 and from 1901 until 1903 also of the Danish parliament.
