Band of the West Midlands Fire Service

The Band of the West Midlands Fire Service is a concert band and marching band based in Birmingham, England, regarded as one of the premier concert and marching band in the Midlands. The band was founded in 1984 by a small group of serving firefighters who were keen to start a band made up from serving officers and their families. The band represents the West Midlands Fire Service at official Fire Service functions and indeed the United Kingdom's Fire Service at home and abroad, but also undertakes their own engagements. These have included the 450th birth celebrations of William Shakespeare, the International Firefighters Remembrance and Memorial ceremonies, and performing concerts and marching displays across the Midlands and UK.
