Bill Duff (Arabist)
William Duff (13 May 1922 – 14 February 2014) was a Scottish banker, Arabist and an advisor to Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the first vice-president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and a former ruler of Dubai. He is credited by many with initiating the modernisation of the Emirate.
