Borovnice (Žďár nad Sázavou District)

Borovnice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈborovɲɪtsɛ]; German: Borownitz) is a village and municipality (obec) in Žďár nad Sázavou District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. The municipality covers an area of 9.07 square kilometres (3.50 sq mi), and has a population of 172 (as at 28 August 2006). Borovnice lies approximately 21 kilometres (13 mi) north-east of Žďár nad Sázavou, 53 km (33 mi) north-east of Jihlava, and 136 km (85 mi) east of Prague.
