Cyrus Amir-Mokri
Cyrus Amir-Mokri (Persian: سیروس امیرمکری) was the Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions at the U.S. Treasury Department. He resigned from Treasury in April 2014. Amir-Mokri was a senior legal and policy advisor to the Chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. He participated in the legislative process that led to the passage of the Dodd-Frank Act and the subsequent implementation through rulemaking. He also served as the agency's deputy representative to the Financial Stability Oversight Council and as liaison for inter-agency affairs. Amir-Mokri's previous experience in government was to serve as law clerk to Bruce M. Selya of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
