Dáire Cerbba

Dáire Cerbba (or Cerba, Cearba, Cearb) was a 4th-century Irish dynast who was evidently a king of late prehistoric central Munster, or Medón Mairtíne at the time, and of possibly further territory, and thus in one or two additional sources (of uncertain date) he is also called a King of Munster, but as for most prehistoric personages this will never be verifiable. A frequently believed grandson of his, Crimthann mac Fidaig, was High King of Ireland and some British territories, and another descendant Bressal mac Ailello Thassaig may have been a king of Munster himself. Finally, another descendant, at least according to Geoffrey Keating and perhaps others, was a King of Munster named Cormac, son of Ailill, son of Eochaid, son of Dáire Cearb.
