Dan Studney
Dan Studney (born January 30, 1941) is an American former track and field athlete who competed in the javelin throw. His greatest achievement was a gold medal for the United States at the 1963 Pan American Games. His personal best of 76.30 m (250 ft 3+3⁄4 in) (old javelin model) was achieved in Santa Barbara, California on March 30, 1963 . Studney originally hailed from Hillside, New Jersey and graduated from Hillside High School in 1959, where he competed in football and wrestling, in addition to track and field.
