Dara I

Kay Darab, or Darab Kiani, is a legendary king of Iran, who ruled Zoroastrian Persia after his father Kai Bahman and his mother Homai in the 4th century BC. He is the subject of the 12th-century Darab Nama. According to shahnameh his son "Dara" is king when Alexander the Great conquered Persia, a role historically fulfilled by Darius III. It was rumored the town of Darab or Darabgerd was built by him.
