Darwinia sanguinea
Darwinia sanguinea is a plant in the myrtle family Myrtaceae and is endemic to Western Australia. The low sprawling and prostrate shrub typically grows to a height of 0.05 to 0.2 metres (0.16 to 0.66 ft). It blooms between August and December producing red-purple flowers. Often found on hills and sandplains between Coorow, Carnamah and Dandaragan in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia where it grows in sandy soils over laterite.
