Hewitt (born 1945) is an American recording/mix engineer, known for pioneering state of the art remote recording over a 40-plus-year career - recording live broadcasts, records, and audio for film and video. Among Hewitt's many credits are: Pink Floyd’s The Delicate Sound of Thunder, Live Aid, the Academy Awards, PBS’s Live from the Met series; The Three Tenors, The Complete Last Concert of the Modern Jazz Quartet, Havana Jam, The Metropolitan Opera’s Gala for Joseph Volpe, Eagles Live from Melbourne, the classic Neil Young film, Rust Never Sleeps.
