Dmitry Faddeev

Dmitry Konstantinovich Faddeev (Russian: Дми́трий Константи́нович Фадде́ев, IPA: [ˈdmʲitrʲɪj kənstɐnʲˈtʲinəvʲɪt͡ɕ fɐˈdʲe(j)ɪf]; 30 June 1907 – 20 October 1989) was a Soviet mathematician. Dmitry was born June 30, 1907, about 200 kilometers southwest of Moscow on his father's estate. His father Konstantin Tikhonovich Faddeev was an engineer while his mother was a doctor and appreciator of music who instilled the love for music in Dmitry. Friends found his piano playing entertaining.
