Dorothea Bennett (novelist)
Dorothea Bennett born 1914 in Ireland as Dorothea Alice Bennett was a novelist and screenwriter married to Terence Young in 1942. The daughter of Colonel William Bennett D.S.O. O.B.E., she is largely known for her 1977 novel The Jigsaw Man on which the 1983 film of the same name was based, as well as for other film work. Prior to her marriage to Young, she was married to the artist Francis Cook from 1933-1935. She died in 1985 in Westminster, London, England.
