Eduardo Vázquez

Eduardo Vázquez (1846-1917) was a Uruguayan military man who participated in the War of the Triple Alliance and the Uruguayan Civil War. He fought against Timoteo Aparicio, during the Revolution of the Lances, and against Aparicio Saravia, during the Uprising of 1904 (Revolution of 1904). He was born in Montevideo, the son of and Teresa Piedracueva, belonging to a distinguished patrician family. He was married to Amalia Ordóñez de San Martín, daughter of Trifon Ordoñez and Josefa San Martín, a noble woman genealogically related to the General José de San Martín.
