He worked mainly on portraits and commissioned landscapes, advertising as the "Oxford University Portrait Rooms" with "Portraits takes on Ivory, Paper, and Glass" as well as "Gentlemen's Mansions & Churches Photographed". Bracher lived over the premises with his wife and two children.
