Edward Fulton Denison

Edward Fulton Denison (December 18, 1915, Omaha – October 23, 1992, Washington D.C.) was an American economist. He was a pioneer in the measurement of the United States gross national product and one of the founders of growth accounting. In 1966 Denison was elected as a Fellow of the American Statistical Association.He became a distinguished fellow of the American Economic Association in 1981. He married Elsie Lightbown. His daughter, Janet Howell has served in the Virginia Senate since 1992.
