Electoral (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1998

The Electoral (Amendment) (No. 2) Act, 1998 (No. 19/1998) was a law in Ireland which provided for parliamentary constituencies for the 29th Dáil Éireann. The 29th Dáil was elected at the 2002 general election on 17 May 2002 and was dissolved on 29 April 2007. This Act replaced the Electoral (Amendment) Act 1995, which defined the constituencies used for the 28th Dáil (1997–2002). It was itself replaced by the Electoral (Amendment) Act 2005, which created a new pattern of constituencies when the 29th Dáil was dissolved.
