Electrotheatre Stanislavsky

The Stanislavsky Electrotheatre (Russian: Электротеатр Станиславский), known from 1948 to 2013 as the Stanislavsky Drama Theatre, and from 1946 to 1948 as the Stanislavsky Opera and Drama Theatre, is a theatre in Moscow. It was founded in 1935 as an opera and drama studio. It has functioned as a drama theatre since 1948. Since 1950 it has been located at 23 Tverskaya Street. In 2013, it was closed for renovations and in 2015 was reopened under its current name. It has been a member of the Union of the Theatres of Europe since 2017. The theatre's artistic director is Boris Yukhananov.
