Erik Viborg
Erik Nissen Viborg (5 April 1759 – 25 September 1822) was a Danish veterinarian and botanist. Viborg studied veterinary science by at the Veterinary School in Copenhagen and soon became the professor’s assistant (in 1783). The standard author abbreviation Viborg is used to indicate this person as the author when citing a botanical name. The legume genus Wiborgia Thunb. was named for him.
