Eugene Henley

Eugene Henley (often referred to as Big U), is an American community activist, former gang member, and founder of the non-profit organization Developing Options. In his youth, he was a leader in the Rollin' 60s Neighborhood Crips and at age 26 was arrested for robbing an undercover officer with another gang member. While still in prison in 2003, Henley created the organization Developing Options (Ex-Offender’s Fellowship Network). He was released in 2004 and starred in the 2021 docuseries Hip Hop Uncovered on FX. He also managed hip hop artists which included Kurupt and Nipsey Hussle.
