FC Stal Alchevsk

FC Stal Alchevsk is a Ukrainian professional football team of the Ukrainian First League that is based in Alchevsk. In the 2012–13 season the club won promotion to the Ukrainian Premier League, but the club refused this promotion "for the sake of the fans". In 2015, Stal withdrew from all Ukrainian competitions due to the escalating conflict in Eastern Ukraine. Later it was renamed into CSKA NM representing the surrounding Perevalsk Raion and joined the football competitions in the Russian occupied portion of Luhansk Oblast. CSKA played in the "LNR" championship for two seasons (2016–2017) and later was merged with a team from Brianka.
