Fusang (Chinese: 扶桑; pinyin: Fú Sāng) refers to several different entities which are described in ancient Chinese literature, frequently, Fusang is the name which is given to a mythical tree or it is the name which is given to a mysterious land which is located to the East of China. The term later became a poetic name of Japan. In later Chinese accounts, other, even less well-identified places were given the name Fusang.
