Georgetown Hoyas women's basketball
The Georgetown University women's basketball team, which, like all sports teams at Georgetown University, is named the Georgetown Hoyas, is women's basketball program in the NCAA Division I Big East Conference. They are currently coached by James Howard, the program's tenth coach, now in his second year. The team was first formed in 1970, and joined the Big East in 1983. They play their home games on campus at McDonough Gymnasium.
