Harry Dale (rugby league)
Harry Dale (February 190'8 or 15 February 1909 – fourth ¼ 1970), also known by the nicknames of "Squibber" (at school due to his short height) and later "Scrubber" (following a mishearing and misprinting of "Squibber"), was an English professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1920s and 1930s. He played at representative level for Yorkshire, and at club level for (in Kingston upon Hull) (some sources incorrectly state ), the Hull Kingston Rovers (Heritage No.) and Newcastle RLFC, as a stand-off or scrum-half, i.e. number 6 or 7.
