Hermann Mandl
Hermann Mandl (1856 - 6 March 1922) was an Austrian Jewish businessman and equestrian who competed at the 1900 Summer Olympics. Mandl travelled to China in the 1870s, due to learning the Chinese customs and becoming fluent in the language helped him to become successful with European and American companies in China. In 1880 he set up his own company H.Mandl & Co., and represented major companies like Krupp and Siemens.
