Hewitt & Emerson

Hewitt & Emerson was an architectural firm based in Peoria, Illinois. Frank Emerson and Herbert Hewitt established their partnership in 1909. Richard Gregg became a partner in 1919, establishing Hewitt, Emerson & Gregg. Emerson graduated from Princeton University and from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and studied also at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. The firm designed a number of works that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Works include (with attribution):
