Historical Jesus

Historical Jesus is the reconstruction of the life and teachings of Jesus by critical historical methods, in contrast to Christological definitions (the Christ of Christianity) and other Christian accounts of Jesus (the Christ of faith). It also considers the historical and cultural contexts in which Jesus lived. "The vast majority of Biblical historians believe there is evidence sufficient to place Jesus’ existence beyond reasonable doubt", and therefore argue against the "Christ myth theory".
