Ileksky District

Ileksky District (Russian: Иле́кский райо́н; Kazakh: Елек ауданы, Elek aýdany) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the thirty-five in Orenburg Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,700 square kilometers (1,400 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Ilek. Population: 25,150 (2010 Census); 28,793 (2002 Census); 28,533 (1989 Census). The population of Ilek accounts for 38.8% of the district's total population.
