John Briggs (baseball)

Jonathan Tift Briggs (January 24, 1934 – December 25, 2018) was an American professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball for all or parts of five seasons for the Chicago Cubs (1956–58), Cleveland Indians (1959–60), and Kansas City Athletics (1960). Born in Natoma, a district of Folsom, California, the right-hander was listed as 5 feet 10 inches (1.78 m) tall and 175 pounds (79 kg). Briggs died on December 25, 2018.
