John Jardine (American football)
John Jardine (July 20, 1935 – March 23, 1990) was an American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of Wisconsin–Madison from 1970 to 1977, compiling a record of 37–47–3. Jardine's best season came in 1974, when his Wisconsin Badgers went 7–4 and placed fourth in the Big Ten Conference. Noteworthy was the Badgers' 21-20 victory over the perennial powerhouse Nebraska Cornhuskers during the second week of the season.
